Delegates to the Third National Council of the Jose Marti Art Brigade (BJM) taking place in Havana until February 5 discussed on Thursday the need for art instructors to play a more dynamic role in the community and to engage in constant upgrading.
Participants to the meeting agreed on the importance of fostering knowledge about history in the communities to strengthen the people’s sense of belonging and preserve the identity and traditions of these places.
Another focal point of the agenda was the need for a legal body to regulate the BJM’s internal organization and work planning, key aspects to carry out its work in the community, in coordination with institutional interests.
Closing the meeting on Thursday, the La Colmenita children’s theatre group put on a special presentation of Y sin embargo, se mueve.
