BAYAMO, Granma.— The provincial museum of Granma in the city of Bayamo opened a photo exhibition on transcendental moments of the Cuban Revolution.

Ideas and Action gathers 36 photos including images related to the ideology of Jose Marti, the battle for the return of Elian Gonzalez, patriotic marches, and the historic baseball game between Venezuela and Cuba in which both President Hugo Chavez and Commander in Chief Fidel Castro played.

Ideas and Action by photographer Raul Abreu will run at the Manuel Muñoz Cedeño Museum until January 30 before moving on to other cities. It has already been exhibited in Santiago de Cuba, Cienfuegos and Guantánamo.

Abreu says that his exhibition attempts to show the faces of the new generations, the ones who will continue the work of Martí, Fidel and other heroes of the republic.

Raul Abreu was born in Havana in 1950 and graduated in photography at age 27. He has presented more than 30 exhibitions in Cuba and abroad, and his work has been published in books, postcards, billboards and national newspapers.
