The current director of Juventud Rebelde, , has been named Cuba’s new ambassador to Venezuela.

Over the last five years, Polanco Fuentes has served on several important missions related to the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela.

Rogelio Polanco Fuentes graduated from the Faculty of International Relations and represented Cuba at the International Union of Students and headed the department of International Relations of the Communist Youth League of Cuba. He currently serves as a representative in the National Assembly.

The Cuban Ambassador to Venezuela for 15 years, Germán Sánchez Otero, carried out a distinguished work as ambassador and will be assigned other duties.
